This Privacy Policy explains how Amanta (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the EnglishForest mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

EnglishForest is designed to collect as little data as possible. We do not require you to create an account and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, or contacts.

• Purchase and subscription data. When you buy a subscription, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive a purchase receipt and your subscription status (active / expired) so we can unlock premium features. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
• On-device game data. Your game progress and settings (e.g. selected character, completed activities, audio volume) are stored locally on your device in an encrypted file and in local app storage. On the web version this is kept in your browser’s local storage. This data is not transmitted to us.
• Store account (restore only). When you tap “Restore Purchases”, your Apple ID or Google account is used by the store to look up your past purchases. This is handled by Apple / Google; we only receive the resulting subscription status.

2. How We Use Information

• To deliver core app functionality and save your progress on your device.
• To process subscriptions and unlock premium content (premium mini-game themes).
• To restore previously purchased subscriptions.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third parties, whose own privacy policies apply to the data they process:

• Apple App Store — apple.com/legal/privacy

• Unity (game engine & in-app purchasing) — unity.com/legal/privacy-policy

4. Data Storage and Security

Game data saved on your device is stored in an encrypted (AES) format. Because this data stays on your device, you remain in control of it. No app-managed personal data is held on our servers.

5. Children’s Privacy

EnglishForest is an educational app that may appeal to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not require personal information to be used and does not include third-party advertising or behavioral tracking. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it. We comply with applicable children’s privacy laws, including COPPA (US) and GDPR-K (EU) where relevant.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Account and data deletion. EnglishForest has no user accounts and stores no personal data on our servers, so there is no account to delete. All of your game data lives only on your device: uninstalling the App permanently and completely removes it. On the web version, clearing your browser storage removes it.
• Subscriptions. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Depending on your region (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA), you may have additional rights regarding your data. Contact us to exercise them.

7. International Users

The App may be used worldwide. By using the App, you understand that any limited data described above is handled as set out in this policy regardless of your location.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, within the App.
